Its all about finding the right SEO company to help you build relevant links to your site, for example – if you sell scarfs, you don’t want to build links by getting on Automotive websites. Google will say this again and again, its all about relevant content.
Google has implemented Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) this means it has been already weeding out the link farms, paid links, etc. Manual directory submissions are a great way to start building links up, each directory should be chosen based on reliability, page rank, rankings, and links into the page.
